Description |
Ike's Favorites is a medley of songs, however it is not disclosed as to who Ike is. An association of the songs to President (Ike) Eisenhower could not be found. Songs in this medley include: 1. Beer Barrel Polka music written by Jaromir Vejvoda (1927) and lyrics by Vasek Zeman (1934), 2. As Time Goes By written by Herman Hupfeld in 1931, 3. One Dozen Roses written by Harry James in 1942, 4. I'll Be Seeing You written by Sammy Fain and Irving Kahal in 1938, and 5. Alexander's Rag Time Band written by Irving Berlin in 1911. Ken McCoy arranged this medley of songs in 1990 for the US Army Field Band under Colonel William E. Clark, 1979-1991. Ken McCoy graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, Ohio. After earning his degree in music education, he taught instrumental music for four years in public schools. McCoy's arrangements and compositions have been performed in all 50 US states and several foreign countries.
