Annie Get Your Gun is a film with music and lyrics written by Irving Berlin in 1950 and it arrived on Broadway in 1966. Songs in this medley include: Colonel Buffalo Bill; Doin' What Comes Naturally; The Girl That I Marry; Can't Get A Man With A Gun; Bad, Bad Man; They Say It's Wonderful; I Got The Sun In The Morning; Anything You Can Do; and No Business Like Show Business. This medley was arranged by Ken McCoy in 1992 for the US Army Field Band, Soldiers Chorus, under Major Michael Pyatt. Ken McCoy graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, Ohio. After earning his degree in music education, he taught instrumental music for four years in public schools. In 1977, he accepted a position with the United States Field Band as a staff arranger and eventually was promoted to Chief Arranger. McCoy's arrangements and compositions have been performed in all 50 US states and several foreign countries. In 1995, he joined the Ohio State University Marching Band Staff and arranged at least one full half time show per year for the band culminating with his 23rd show in 2017. Ken McCoy passed away January 11, 2018. |
